The Algaway pad also becomes exhausted over time and can no longer remove algae nutrients efficiently. To maintain a healthy, clean, and algae-free aquarium, it is recommended to replace the filter cartridge every month.

Replacing the cartridge is simple—just remove and discard the used one and insert a fresh cartridge. After cleaning or replacing the filter, it is advisable to use Interpet Quick Safe Start to help replenish beneficial bacteria in your aquarium.
